In order to test the limits of work culture and cutting-edge communication technology, Samsung Electronics released their Galaxy Unpacked event last Wednesday.
The event featured the unveiling of Samsung’s new range of additions to the Galaxy family — Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic, and the Galaxy Buds2. The third generation of these devices is said to incorporate key improvements that Samsung foldable users have asked for — making them more durable than before with more optimised foldable experiences. With an iconic design and captivating entertainment, the Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 is said to offer users “unique new ways to work, watch, and play.”
Moreover, the event also allowed the first glimpse into the all-new Galaxy Watch4. The new and refurbished watch uses a single chip to precisely run three powerful health sensors — Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis — so users can monitor their blood pressure, detect an AFib irregular heartbeat, measure their blood oxygen level, and, for the first time, calculate their body composition.
The event also saw the live materialisation of Samsung’s vision for sustainability, Galaxy for the Planet. Samsung Electronics introduced an initial set of milestones to be reached by 2025 in order to reduce its environmental footprint.
The outlines of the vision include incorporating recycled materials into all their new mobile products, eliminating the use of plastic in mobile packaging, reducing the power consumption of their smartphone chargers, and achieving zero waste to landfill.
“Samsung is committed to creating solutions that enable a better future for our people and our planet,” said Stephanie Choi, SVP & Head of Marketing of the Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.
To commemorate the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung Bangladesh also held an event at Gulshan the following day wherein the two new foldable devices were exhibited. Multiple representatives from Samsung Bangladesh along with guests and news reporters were present at the venue.
