Walk me through your gardens
Where the yellow roses bloom.
Walk me past the graves of your children
And the lilac bushes by the fountain
Where your beloved used to wait for the sunset.
They are parts of you, I know–
The beauty and the pain–
They are within you and they are you.
In the vastness of your gardens,
Find me in a blade of grass
Waiting eagerly for the rain.
