Short Poems for Eid

Jannatul Ferdous Tulona

One call to prayer
A million men answer together
The Creator gifts a Full Moon.

A notorious child,
A bowl full of warm Shemai.
His mother lets him do a free lick.
After all, today is Eid!

Two dirty eyes drift on the road.
Warm, sweet smells lure them.
Alhamdulillah! They chant.
Today, for them, all the doors are open.

Jannatul Ferdous is a procrastinator by day, and a poet by night.
